Our 4 main teams

The CTSA is made up of four main teams

Unité Enseignement

The Unité d’enseignement (UE) (Educational team) intervenes either in specialized “classes de cohabitation” within mainstream school buildings (primary and post-primary) or in stand-alone educational workshops (post-primary) that prepare young people with ASD for specialist supported employment post 18, or in mainstream schools, providing specialist support (Intervention Spécialisée Ambulatoire) for pupils who follow a regular education with or without adaptations.

The UE intervenes both in primary schools (early childhood education / ”Précoce” and cycles 1 to 4) and in secondary education (general (technical) and classical schemes). Together with each child and young person’s keyworker from the diagnostic’s team, CTSA’s educational staff provides specific advice to teachers, members of the support team for pupils with special needs (équipe de soutien pour élèves à besoins éducatifs spécifiques, ESEB) and to professionals working in maisons relais (childcare centres), etc.

Currently, the Educational team Unité d’enseignement counts a total of 70 full time equivalent employees: educators, social pedagogues, pedagogues and curative educators, based at our 20 different ASD specialist provision sites throughout the Grand Duchy, and 20 full time equivalent professionals provide specialist outreach support (“intervention spécialisée ambulatoire”) in mainstream schools and high schools.

Unité de rééducation et de thérapie
